I was challenged with coming up with an idea that would engage the working community in a socially relevant way; I figured we could hop on the hype around March Madness.
Microsoft archivists had sent over pictures of vintage Microsoft mugs. I came up with the idea to pit the newer mug designs against the old classics in an interactive social media tournament.

Every day two mugs faced off and followers voted in a poll for their favorites.
I was in charge of the look and feel of the project, as well as updating the brackets daily depending on the winners.

I went for a "vintage computer" (big boxes with borders, simple colors) with a nostalgic feel combined with the classic professional sports vibe to attract both audiences.

The Microsoft company newsletter featured the series for the “most engaged with” post that month with roughly 85.3k impressions.
